Cebu City Quickie

Cebu was one of the destinations I’ve always wanted to visit for the longest time mostly because of my fascination with Philippine history.  Unexpectedly, that wish came true!  But there’s a catch—the trip was merely for only a day and a half!  And here’s how this “surprise” trip came about.

360 Fitness Introduces Country’s First Circuit Training Race

October 15, 2010 Update: This event has been rescheduled for November 27, 1010.

360° Fitness Club was born in Ortigas Center last June 21st 2010 out of the hard work and big dreams of five young and passionate entrepreneurs.  As the country’s first co-ed express circuit training facility, the club aims to revolutionize the fitness industry by reinventing the way people exercise.  And revolutionize it has, at least for the strong following of 300 members it has gained in the short span of three months. 360° has somehow found a way to get people excited about exercising.

10.10.10 Run Makes History

Congratulations to all the participants of the recently concluded 10.10.10 Run for Pasig River!  Apparently you’re all now part of history!  Initial figures from SyCip, Gorres, Velayo & Co. (SGV), the country’s biggest accounting firm, placed the total number of official race starters at 116,812, and that does not include unofficial (“bandit”) runners!  The SGV figure will break Philippine marks and the Guinness World Record of 110,000 runners at the “Bay to Breakers” race in San Francisco, California in 1988.

Meet My New BFF: VFF Sprint (Vibram Five Fingers)

I’ve always been fascinated with Vibram Five Fingers (VFF) ever since the first time I saw it.  At first I thought it’s crazy because back then I always thought that shoes should be thick and soft (cushioning).  Fast forward, I started running, and learned all about my feet, and eventually, shoes.  Even my first post on this site is about picking the right shoe for the right feet.  When VFFs came, all that became obsolete—“as long as you have feet VFFs are for you,” ultramarathoner Ronald Declarador states.
