Last Sunday, Barefoot Running Philippines/Vibram FiveFingers Fan Club had gathered minimalist and barefoot running enthusiasts over at the SM Mall of Asia grounds for its fourth VFF Fan Club Fun Run, an informal run that’s purely for fun!

Despite the name, the fun run isn’t limited to VFF (Vibram Five Fingers) users alone, and even regular fun runners with their regular running shoes were welcome. Of course the event was graced by a few real barefoot runners!

The fun run covered six kilometers of SM MoA’s grounds, better known as the C-loop, and was comprised of runners from all levels, from beginners to seasoned ultramarathoners. It was perhaps the longest run some of the participants have ever done, and inversely one of the “easiest” for some of us, but nonetheless it was a real fun run in every essence! I’d say I really missed the intimacy of a small group run, running not for the sake of race or training, but running just for fun!

i wish i could join the barefoot runners. Sumali ako sa CIHM for my 21k debut run, my gulay I was rip by that run, 2 days muscle agony and Alaxan did not help that much either. All i can say about that run “mr president we have conquered Corregidor”
