Glad to be in PH!

I know everyone’s been aware of the constant increase in fuel prices, cost of living, registration fees, etc.—but you know what?  The Philippines is still one of the best cost countries in the world!  Take a look at this picture:

Look at the price

Pictured above are “sports water” from Japan, sold in the local supermarket—did you see the price?  Imagine if all our local sport drinks were sold at this price?  I don’t think I’d be doing many sports activities!  But wait, we don’t have to imagine as the fact still remains that even though the things we buy aren’t as cheap as it used to be, we’re still better off than countries, at least as far as cost of living is concerned.  I’m still glad to be living in the Philippines!

Acknowledgments

I don’t have much time to share my thoughts, but I just have enough to spare and take the opportunity to thank some friends for their support and generosity:

Nature Valley

Thank you for the duffel bag and the goodies in it!

This token’s history goes way back during the TNF Thrill of the Trail in Bohol when I used a Nature Valley knapsack in the trails, but unfortunately it got torn midway into the route.  This bag serves as its replacement.

Merrell

Thank you for the new pair!

This is the latest addition to my running gears (which I’ll be posting a review soon) which I luckily won from the raffle during its launch.  Isn’t it a pretty?

Bodivance

Thank you for the shirt, bag, more Bodivance, and of course for including me in your team!

This is part of the Bodivance contest that we had a while ago, taken at HDI Network’s office.  (Thank you Marcia for this picture!)

adidas

Thank you for the cap!

I actually forgot about this until it arrived today in the office.  This is part of adidas’ giveaway from the launch of adidas King of the Road and also the new all24.

Again, thank you all very much!

Boston Kreme: When is a World’s Best not a World Record?

Boston, Massachusetts is thousands of miles away from Manila, but the running highs that were set during the recent Boston Marathon were so contagious I can feel it all the way here!  The highlight of the event of course was the 2:03:02 time set by Kenya’s Geoffrey Mutai—the world’s fastest ever, but not the world record!

My GF’s Facelift

Even since I had some issues with my GF I found myself less and less interested spending my time with her, and now that I have my new BB, her most formidable rival, she has more reasons to be concerned about our “relationship.”  As such, my GF had to undergo some major facelift.

Good Bye, BGC?

Bonifacio Global City, Bonifacio High Street in particular, had been a runner’s haven for quite some time now, but as its empty lots and the areas around it slowly but surely gets filled up, is it an early sign of good bye?
