Last weekend, I together with some runner/bloggers were invited by Salomon to conduct a trial run on the route of the Salomon XTrail Run to be held on March 21, 2012 at Tagaytay Highlands. As someone who has done trails from Nuvali to Baguio, I can only say that this race is going to be awesome!
XTERRA Pang Rave Run is the first leg of XTERRA races slated for this year all around the country. It was my first trail run for the year and it was one of the best races I’ve had recently. It was also my first trail run in a very long time, and I admit I really missed it a lot.

This race is definitely one for my bucket list! 
Merrell recently introduced to the Philippine market their Barefoot Collection and I was lucky enough to win a pair of their segment for trails, the Trail Glove. At first glance it looks like a regular pair, but given its name with a matching Vibram name on its sole, it had got to be much more than that! And so the trails of Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna became the testing ground for this pair’s review.

I’ve ran onto the routes of Nuvali before, both on and off-road, and honestly I find it a bit boring especially when compared to natural trails of the mountains—until Valley Trail came along! It was a race with a lot of firsts, including my first DNF!

2010 was the year running took a backseat from my list of activities, but in between my great hiatus there were some interesting events that transpired. Here’s a look back at how 2010 was for me:
The highlight for the first month of 2010 was my return to running with a 50K test run of the Bataan Death March (BDM) Ultramarathon (first 50K of the actual route).
