I’ve been very privileged to have been part once again of Pico Tri Invitational for the second year in a row, and this year’s event saw the event grew much bigger than the previous. Here’s a behind the scenes look back at this event that happened last April 06, 2013.

Like many Filipinos, I commemorated this year’s Holy Week with a visit to various churches. I realized that I wasn’t able to do this last year, so this year it’s a must that I outdo the shortcomings of the previous year.
(Continued from Part 1) The following day was a total opposite of the day before: it begun with rains and for the most part cloudy. Just as when I was seriously considering running barefoot on the beach!
After what seemed like eternity, at long last, I was able to return to Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro last March 02, 2013 to officially kick off (at least for me) the summer season for the year!
It was the eve of Chinese New Year, and what better place to be in Manila than Chinatown? I wasn’t running of course, but it was really nice to walk around and see how this festivity is celebrated.

Cebu City was the real destination for this trip so early in the year, and as a runner Cebu City Marathon was naturally the expected reason, but this time it is not. The real reason behind this trip: to go to Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño to give thanks for all the blessings.
Bohol wasn’t originally part of my itinerary, but since I had some “spare time” I might as well use it to visit one of my most missed places since it’s just a two hour ferry trip from Cebu. And this time my Bohol itinerary was clear: the beach!
I was supposed to start the year with Cebu City Marathon, but it was just my luck that I wasn’t able to register in time. But since my flight and accommodations are already set in place, I was still good to go!

Just before 2012 drew to a close I managed to take a quick break from the hustles and bustles of Metro Manila by “chilling” in cool weather of Baguio City. Here’s my trip in pictures.
2012 had been one of the most “interesting” years of my adult life but unfortunately running took a back seat for me this year in terms of mileage. That doesn’t mean though that there isn’t much to share about this year! Here are ten (10) of my favorite posts for the year:
